District Interact Student Council Objectives

 The objectives of the District Interact Student Council are to:

 ·         Serve as a platform for idea sharing between Interact clubs about successful community service projects, fund-raising ideas and efforts to improve international understanding and goodwill.

 ·         Communicate this information both through monthly DISC/DIAC meetings and through periodic mailing/emails to club representatives.

 ·         Coordinate high quality, well-planned events including an DISC Delegates Retreat, club officers training, at least one district-wide community or international service project and a District Interact Assembly.

 ·         Promote cooperative service activities involving Interactors and Rotarians.

 ·         Promote the growth of Interact by actively encouraging Rotary clubs to sponsor new Interact clubs. 

 ·         Help existing Interact clubs to develop strategies for recruiting and retaining members.

 ·         Celebrate successes, both at the individual club and the district level.
